"We try to get all of the hunters to fly Aero Mexico. US Airways charges $200 per set of antlers, even if they fit in their duffle bag! The outfitters are trying to boycott US Airways."
The Hunting Report warned you of this problem with US Airways in the April issue (see Article 2833). At the time, we had called Aero Mexico and asked about antlers as checked baggage. The agent we spoke with, who checked with a supervisor, said they do not accept antlers. But the Schaafsmas say that is incorrect and that they regularly send hunters home with trophies via Aero Mexico with no problems. ........(continued) |
