Millman is a young (45) innovator and entrepreneur in the land surveying business. He owns Millman National Land Services (www.millmanland.com), which enjoys a presence in all 50 states. Though Millman will be actively involved with Safari Outfitters, the staff will continue virtually unchanged. Gretchen Stark will continue to be involved for the next year or so. Clark Jeffs, who has been with Safari Outfitters for 24 years, will manage the business day-to-day, and Don Crane, with 10 years at the company, will continue as African sales manager. Sergei Kondratov (25 years) and Dr. Sasha Kiseljov (21 years) will continue as V.P. and operations manager respectively, with Kondratov planning to take over some of the Asian sales.
In a telephone interview, Millman told Hunting Report publisher Barbara Crown that Safari Outfitters had arranged many of his past hunts. "I wouldn't have thought to start a business like this from scratch, but the opportunity came up and I acted. With Safari Outfitters, I know I am dealing with honest people I have always been comfortable with. I hope to bring more marketing expertise to the company and continue to build quality relationships with both clients and hunt providers."
Here at The Hunting Report, we sincerely congratulate Millman on his acquisition and look forward to seeing Safari Outfitters thrive for many decades to come.
