No Hunting Quotas Set and Fee Increases Expected in MozambiquePublished: January - 2012 In Mozambique, several hunting safari operators have told me they are anticipating an increase in fees this coming season. Tharia Unwin from John Calitz Safaris (www.johancalitzsafaris.co.za) wrote me in early December, "Government fees are still a bone of contention and license fees have not been published yet, which makes it difficult for operators to plan and budget." Fees still had not been announced as I wrote this on December 19. Keep this in mind if you are shopping for a Mozambique hunt at the Dallas Safari Club show or any of the African Hunting Shows this month. There is a possibility new fees may be announced by the Safari Club International convention in February, but don't count it.
