Subscriber James Kenny also took what he describes as a "very good pronghorn" near Saratoga, Wyoming, hunting with Mark Condict of Grand Slam Outfitters (307-326-5035). Kenny says he saw more than 100 pronghorns and a dozen "shooter bucks" each day on his two-day September hunt. Game was so plentiful that three in his party tagged out the first day. Kenny rates the accommodations, food and guides as excellent, adding, "This is the third hunt I've booked with this outfitter and I'll be back again." He gives the cost of the hunt as $2,200, plus $512 for the license and tips.
Finally, subscriber Mark Hampton sent us this report on a hunt he took with his wife: "I had promised my wife that when we retired, I would take her out West so she could experience a pronghorn hunt. We began by purchasing a preference point in 2010, and this year, we drew an antelope tag for Wyoming unit 110. We hunted near Meeteeste with Larry and Stephanie Altimus of Altimus Adventures.
