Khodaï said Bernon would contact me in early May with details. In the meantime, I heard elsewhere that roving bandits had indeed moved into a safari area in the north and stole all kinds of equipment, including a safari vehicle. I'm told the government has caught up with them and put an end to their shenanigans.
I also received several reports on hunts in CAR, two subscribers (Mark Jones and Dickey Hendry) who hunted with Club Faune early in the year, plus a glowing report from Mike Daley who hunted in the southeast with Central African Wildlife Adventures. I also got an excited phone call from John Hoestenbach, who promised me a written report and photo of what he says may be the new Number One giant forest hog. I'll share what I get in next month's issue. Get in a good safari somewhere on the Dark Continent.
