Why a show devoted solely to African hunting? Quite simply, Lendrum says, interest in hunting Africa is greater than ever. "There are probably 250,000 hunters in North America who have the means and dream of hunting Africa but have never hunted there," he says. "Many of these are discerning consumers. Though limited in their time to do research, they want to be certain about what they are buying. Africa needs new and dedicated marketing models to reach these hunters. An event that showcases everything about hunting in Africa is what the North American market needs," says Lendrum.
The Africa Hunting Show is the first exclusively African hunting show in North America founded, managed and owned by Africans and African operators. A number of exhibitors will share in any profits from the event. This, says Lendrum, will ensure the event offers only quality experiences. Exhibitors will be thoroughly vetted, only legal operators registered in the countries they hunt and members in good standing with their professional hunting associations will be let in. Agents exhibiting at the show will likewise have to represent operators who meet these criteria. All funds raised or donated for conservation will go exclusively to African initiatives as directed by a conservation committee.
