Namibia Implements New Leopard Hunting Permit RegulationsPublished: May - 2010 In Namibia, if you have booked a leopard hunt there for 2010, you should contact your operator sometime this month. As I reported in February (see Article No. 2396), the moratorium on leopard permits was lifted and a new procedure implemented for operators to acquire permits. The deadline for operators to register with the Namibian Ministry of Environment and Tourism (MET) for a leopard allocation was at the end of this past March. Make sure your operator has a leopard permit for you issued in your name with the date of your hunt before you go afield. You can read all of the new regulations for yourself on our web site under Website Uploads. We posted them there on February 3, 2010....
