"The hunt involves driving from camp to the general area, getting out and hiking into the right spot. The deer are all over the ranch, both in the valleys as well as up top, so keeping your eyes open is essential. Most of the deer are blacktails, with a very good population of whitetails. Whitetails are found in pockets on the ranch, but we saw the deer moving from one area to another. Be prepared to shoot anywhere from 60 yards to 320 yards; that's what I needed to do as the day was ending. Very good optics are a must, as this can be an early morning or late afternoon hunt. We saw bucks all day long, but for the most part the big boys don't hang out to get a suntan.
"Fisher has the ranch figured out well and knows where the deer will be, but he is always on the lookout to move somewhere else should an opportunity present itself. He is fun to hunt with, is very easy going and is willing to make changes if things are not working well for the client. This helps with us older guys!........(continued)
