A Warning About Konya Sheep Hunting In Turkey This SeasonPublished: September - 2009 If you have a Konya sheep hunt scheduled for the 2009/2010 season, be aware that the Turkish Ministry of Environment and Forestry announced early this year that it would not be issuing any Konya sheep hunting permits for this season. The Hunting Report received a copy of a letter from the ministry to this effect. Despite the closed season, some agents and operators continue to market and book these hunts. Do not be fooled. You will not be able to go on this hunt legally this season, and there is no information on whether the Turkish ministry will issue permits for 2010 either.
