Saitabau is well-known to hunters who hunted with the parastatal safari company TAWICO, which was previously managed by the Mulla family of Usangu Safaris. I'm told Saitabau and a tracker were checking out a herd of jumbo when a cow elephant with a calf attacked and trampled Saitabau to death. He leaves behind a wife and family.
