South Africa White Rhino Is The Potential New World RecordPublished: July - 2009 In South Africa, a potential new world record white rhino has been taken. The trophy was killed by Danish hunter Martin Christensen with PH Andrew Austin of East Cape Hunters, booking agent Limpopo Travel. The hunt took place in a 12,800-acre hunting reserve in the Eastern Cape just northwest of Cradock. The rhino green-scores 113 3/8 points, comfortably surpassing the current number one of 105 3/8 SCI. (See photo in our Trophy Gallery.) It is expected to final score enough to take the number one spot after the drying period is complete. Measured and scored by an SCI master measurer in South Africa, the front horn of the rhino measures 36 3/8 inches, while the back horn measures 13 3/8 inches....
