Enriquez plans on taking a very limited number (only two or three a week) of rifle and archery hunters during the peak of the rut, with hunts starting on January 12th. He will no longer be hunting north of Chihuahua City, but instead will be operating out of his main lodge south of the capitol. His family has offered Gould's turkey and waterfowl hunts out of this facility for years, and from what I understand, it provides first-class accommodations, including bedrooms with two full-size beds and private bath, plus a fully-stocked bar and a commercial kitchen where the meals are second to none. The lodge is located within a one- or two-hour drive of the half dozen hunting properties where Enriquez will be Coues deer hunting. He knows these properties well from his turkey hunts. These ranches cover over 100,000 acres, and other sources tell me that they offer great Coues deer potential.
The cost of El Halcon's four-day, 1 x 1 hunt is $4,600, plus $335 for the gun permit and licenses. This outfit may also have some interesting opportunities for combination hunts, including Carmen........(continued)
