The other subscriber is Mac Plymale, who calls Faro Koti Manga's area "Patrick Dahlan National Park" due to the amount of game he saw within two kilometers of the camp itself. Both hunters took eland and roan within the first days of their hunt. Plymale says one of the more interesting hunts Dahlan has is for mountain buffalo. Seems the western savannah buffalo there live on and around some mountains in the concession. Plymale says most of the buffalo are taken at the lower elevations because many hunters simply aren't up for the task of climbing higher. But, he says there is an opportunity here for the right hunter to enjoy a unique experience and challenging hunt.
Dahlan has been operating in this concession for four years now, and has managed to build up his game populations and age classes by taking only about half of his quota and patrolling for poachers year round. He has invested in the heavy equipment needed to improve and expand the road systems in this area, which allows the anti-poaching squad to patrol the area more effectively and increases access for his hunters. He has also made some improvements to his camps, including re-building bungalows equipped with air conditioning and installing a new, quiet diesel generator....
