Second Successful Safari To Uganda For Kob And Other SpeciesPublished: December - 2008 And subscriber Greg Williamson has sent me his report on his hunt in Uganda. You'll remember I mentioned that he was among the first hunters to take Ugandan kob with Bruce Martin's Lake Albert Lodge on Lake Albert. He hunted with a bow and took four kob; one stretched the tape to 24 inches. He also took a warthog with tusks over 17 inches and a 12-inch Nile bushbuck as well as an East African duiker and an oribi. The kob were everywhere, he says, and they were BIG! He went on to say that he has hunted all over Africa and that the game he saw in Uganda was the best quality he has ever seen. It's like the Africa of old, he says.
