Kambako Safaris Produces Big Elephant In MozambiquePublished: October - 2008 Over in Mozambique, Jumbo Moore of Kambako Safaris sent me a note near press time about a monster elephant taken by a Spanish client who wishes to remain anonymous. The jumbo measured 63 inches (5¼ feet) in length and had an 18 1/5 inch circumference at the lip. The elephant was killed in Block B of the Niassa Reserve in Northern Mozambique with PH Sean Grant. News of the big trophy was so fresh that Moore hadn't weighed the ivory yet. This is the third consecutive year that Kambako has produced a monster elephant from this concession.
