In Ethiopia, subscriber Michael Lambert has taken a dandy mountain nyala with Nassos Roussos of Ethiopian Rift Valley Safaris. The trophy measured 40-7/8 inches and had 10-inch bases. The green-score put it at No. 3 in the SCI Record Book. Lambert took the monster nyala in the Odo Bulo Concession this past May. He had been hunting about a week in wet, muddy and foggy conditions. Lambert was glassing and sizing up three other bulls at a mineral lick, when this one showed up offering a 335-yard shot. He also reports taking a very good Menelik's bushbuck and other animals. I'm indebted to Roussos' US representative, Rich Elliott, for passing on the news and a photograph. You can take a look at this exceptional trophy in the Trophy Gallery section of our web site.
