Caribou hunts take place along the Glubokaya River and the Piasino River and lake. Depending on the area, it can take several hours to two days to reach the hunting area by boat. Demitrijevic says the caribou are abundant, and hunters can harvest several trophies. Once the herd is located, hunters leave the boat to glass for a trophy bull, then pursue their target on foot. In between caribou hunting, clients can fish or hunt waterfowl on the river. Accommodations are either on the boat or in tents on shore. A camp cook prepares all the meals. The caribou season runs from August 20 to September 20. Hunting packages run 10 days, with six days of hunting and range from 2,800 Euros ($4,430 at press time) to 4,900 Euros ($7,750), depending on the hunt area and how many trophies are included.
The bear and moose hunts stick to the Yenisei River about eight hours out of Dudinka. Bears are hunted over baits at night. Visibility is not a problem because it stays light here at this time of year. Moose hunts involve cruising the streams that push out into the tundra.
