2008 Elephant Season In Botswana Starts Off StrongPublished: June - 2008 We've received our first reports on elephant taken this season. Seems 52 jumbo have been taken in Botswana as this is written. The average weight is just over 50 pounds. The two largest ones both weighed 143 pounds total, or just over 70 pounds a side. We know one of the large jumbo was taken by a client of Peter Holbrow. We do not know who outfitted the other hunt.
The third report we received this past month is from Reyburn Anderson. He hunted in Botswana this past April with Kgori Safaris and reports taking a 50-pound elephant. He hunted the Kwatale Concession area in NG 43 and says he saw up to 100 elephant every day. ........(continued) |
