In a previous report, I told you that one of Jensen's clients killed a problem leopard in Uganda last season (see photo in the Trophy Gallery section of our web site). Unfortunately, because there was no CITES quota at that time for Ugandan leopard, the hunter could not import the cat into Denmark.
Well, according to Jensen, three leopards have now been taken by his clients. We have posted a photo of the very first exportable leopard to be taken in Uganda in many years to the Trophy Gallery section of our web site. You'll note the cat is on the small side, but Jensen says there are some very large leopards in Uganda. Another client took a fine trophy that he hopes to get us a photo of, he says. As soon as we receive it, we'll post it to our Trophy Gallery.
Jensen says he has booked most of his Ugandan leopard hunts for 2009 already, but interested hunters should still contact him. Unfortunately, Ugandan leopards are not currently importable into the United States, although John J. Jackson, III, of Conservation Force has said he would help any American hunter who would like to try importing one.
