For many years, Air 2000 has actively pursued the US and European leisure hunting markets, establishing alliances with operators throughout sub-Saharan Africa, and traveling regularly to conventions in the US to promote air charter as a safe, cost-effective and convenient travel option for visiting hunters.
In 1989, Air 2000 launched the Hunters' Support service, to provide hunters with a compre- hensive range of services that ensured a smooth arrival in Africa, a trouble-free transfer to the hunting camp, pre- and post-hunt travel arrangements and a comfortable departure at the end of the hunt. The service includes the arrangement of Firearm Import Permits, meet-and-greet services at Johannesburg's or Tambo International Airport, road/airport/hotel transfers, and, of course, air charter services.
I'm proud to have Air 2000/Hunters' Support aboard, and I hope you will give their services a good look. Our Corporate Sponsor Program is helping us keep our basic subscription price at $60, which is where it has been ever since I started The Hunting Report back in 1981. No publication I know of has NEVER increased its subscription price.
Importantly, I am handling our Corporate Sponsor Program in a way that allows me to preserve our most important asset - namely, our credibility. No guides, outfitters or booking agents are going to be allowed to become sponsors. That means you can rest assured the where-to-go, who-to-hunt-with information coming your way in future months will be as unbiased and hard-hitting as ever. Your interests as a traveling hunter will continue to be my primary concern.
I hope you will think of our corporate sponsors as benefactors and friends, as that is indeed what they will........(continued)
