Indeed Drown's talents in the political arena were a huge asset to the GOABC and the Canadian hunting industry in general over the 10 years or so he served at the association. Drown led various initiatives to protect and promote hunting and wildlife conservation in Canada, including the fight against anti-hunters who were trying to close grizzly bear hunting in British Columbia. He also spearheaded the creation of a new Canadian Federation of Outfitter Associations. Drown will be sorely missed as a champion of the hunting community, but we wish him well in his new endeavors.
