We recently checked in with subscriber Shane Stokes, who you may remember was organizing that hunt. Stokes has lived and worked in Guinea and has hunted there extensively on his own. Stokes tells us the situation in Guinea has improved of late, but the window of opportunity for the trip this year had passed. The same group and I still plan to hunt Guinea this coming season, he says.
Stokes promised to keep us informed, and we'll pass on what he tells us.
