Baker reiterates what several other hunters have told us about Lake Chamo, namely that he has no doubt someone will eventually take a 20-foot croc from there. He goes on to say, however, that this hunt is not for everyone, as it is a very specialized hunt, requiring precision shooting skills. The lake has steep banks and deep water close to the edge, so the hunter must anchor his trophy with the first shot to prevent losing it in deep water. That is made all the more difficult because the largest crocodiles never come fully out of the water. Baker gives a cost of $25,000 for this hunt, which is booked through Rich Elliott.
