Green Light On Hunting Leopard's With HoundsPublished: March - 2007 Over in Namibia, there is some good news for hunters who want to pursue a leopard with hounds. Seems the government has given this activity the green light, at least for now. Hunters have been told to go ahead and practice this form of hunting, is the way a NAPHA representative put it near press time.
That same official sent me a partial draft of the new Wildlife Act that may go into effect later this year. The draft calls for caracal to also be huntable with hounds, but not cheetah, serval, wildcat or genet cat. In the section devoted to lion, there is only the indication, to be investigated.
