Finally, what about that hunt in Guinea we told you about last month? Two Hunting Report subscribers who have asked us not to use their names, you'll recall, were scheduled to begin hunting the southern part of the country on February 4, seeking bongo, buffalo, bushpig, harnessed bushbuck and various duikers. As this issue went to press, unfortunately, turmoil had broken out in the capital city, Conakry, casting doubt on whether the hunt would go forward. These things come and go quickly in West Africa, hunt organizer Shane Stokes told us in an e-mail January 18th. He promised a post-hunt report if the turmoil dies down in time. Stay tuned.
