The brouhaha over Air Canada and its proposed fee began, you'll recall, when we called for a international boycott of the company. That created a landslide of complaints, a handful of which were filed in a formal manner with the CTA. While those formal complaints are being considered, Air Canada has been directed to withhold imposition of the gun-handling fee.
It is impossible at this point to predict the outcome of this matter, but a layman's view of the kind of questions CTA is asking suggests that Air Canada may be in trouble with its decision to single out gun owners for a charge like this. For sure, we will stay on top of this for you. E-Mail Extra subscribers can count on receiving an e-mail when news breaks. Those who haven't upgraded to E-Mail Extra can watch for delayed messages on the public access part of our web site, www.hunting report.com.
For the record, if Air Canada is allowed to impose this fee and elects to do so, we plan to call for a resumption of the international boycott. Stay tuned.
