Another project FNAWS and ISHA have undertaken is the creation of a new web site for international sheep hunters. Lee says the re-designed site will provide more hunt-planning assistance, beginning with a section that lists hunting regulations for all the countries that offer wild sheep hunting.
In addition to country regulations, Lee says they will have a section devoted to US Fish & Wildlife Service requirements. Here, he says they will list how many permits FWS plans to issue for each species in each country, along with instructions on how to apply for them. He says the site will also stay up to date on hunt closures and will post season dates and the names of all hunters receiving argali import permits. The site will also offer a chat room.
When we spoke with Lee, he said they would be changing the site address to a shorter name (it is currently www.internationalsheephunters .org), but that a new address had not been acquired yet. He hoped to have that resolved and the site completed sometime this month. For more information, call FNAWS at 307-527-6261.
