Update On BotswanaPublished: June - 2006 Moving across the continent a ways to Botswana, the season there appears to be opening smoothly. The game already downed, we hear, includes a big jumbo taken from NG 26 by an Austrian hunter. The jumbo weighed 84.7 pounds x 79.2 pounds. Also, a huge, black-maned lion has been taken. We have that from Debbie Peake of Botswana Wildlife Management Association. Peake, by the way, is the best source of general information about hunting in Bots- wana - who hunts where, etc. And that is important to know because Botswana does not have a single web site where all operators are listed and where general information can be found....
