The Sierra Club, it is worth noting, is not a typical 501(c)3 environmental organization. They lost their tax-exempt status because of their overt involvement in political advocacy during the last presidential election. The organization went all out to support John Kerry, a man who has been called a "hero" by the Humane Society of the United States. Kerry, you may recall, tried to pose as a hunter to siphon Republican votes. And it was that pose that led him to give a ludicrous description of deer hunting as involving the use of a shotgun and crawling around on the ground.
No one who read Kerry's description of deer hunting believes he is a hunter. Likewise, anyone who looks at the track record of the Sierra Club believes it is pro-hunting. And that causes us here at The Hunting Report to deplore the behavior of Sporting Classics, Shooting Sportsmen, Orvis and Alaska Sportsmen's Lodge. If you agree, give them an earful at: firstname.lastname@example.org; email@example.com; firstname.lastname@example.org; and email@example.com. Tell them you are going to think twice about whether they are your friends or not in light of the company they are keeping.
