By the time you read this we should have details of this new coverage option uploaded to our web site, www.huntingreport.com. If not, call us at 800-272-5656. Overseas: 305-670-1361.
Would-be MedjetAssist enrollees from outside North America need to be aware that provision of coverage is subject to approval by MedjetAssist. The primary reason for a special pre-enrollment review is the need to determine if Med- jetAssist has resources in place to serve each individual foreign applicant. Foreign applicants, of course, will be approved (or denied) coverage entitling them to medical evacuation while traveling outside their home country to a hospital of their choosing back in their country of origin, not to a hospital in the US. Most applicants in Europe and other parts of the West should get a fairly speedy ok. Still, approval will not be immediate. So, non-North American hunters who travel should not wait until the last minute to apply.
(Postscript: New subscribers who don't know why The Hunting Report offers medical evacuation coverage and stresses it so much may want to read Editor/Publisher Don Causey's report of being injured in Cameroon and evacuated home at a personal cost of $124,000. The story appears on our web site. To read it, click on the MedjetAssist Logo that appears on our Home Page.)
