This amount of feedback inspired us to contact Musado's principal, Asif Ilyasov, to learn more about his company. He told us, in a reply note, that he started operating Musado Wild Nature Company only three years ago, organizing hunts for small and big game in Azerbaijan. When local hunters contacted him about hunting elsewhere, he says he began developing partners abroad (including Sergio Dimitrijevic of Safari International, whom we have featured prominently in these pages), and he now sends Azerbaijani and European clients to Namibia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Turkey, Iran, Poland and other destinations.
He tells us most of his foreign clients are from Europe, but that he has also hosted a number of American hunters as well. In all, he had 40 clients last year who hunted Dagestan tur with him in Azerbaijan. One of those was Honor Roll subscriber Ted Siouris, who sent us the following detailed report about his experience with Musado:
"Last March, thanks to my subscription to The Hunting Report, I read about an Azerbaijani outfitter with great hunting credentials and an outstanding concession for hunting eastern tur in the Caucasus Mountains. By the time I booked a hunt in late May, I knew I wouldn't be disappointed with the adventure or the quality of trophies.
