The problem with the animals is they are suspected of carrying various diseases and parasites that could negatively impact sheep, mountain goats and musk oxen. We are indebted to John B. Holdstock of BCWF ALERT for word of this development.
It is not clear at this writing whether use of the goats is going to be expressly forbidden, but all indicators were pointing that way at press time. In the meantime, there is enough evidence of possible harm here that peer pressure is probably going to keep most of the animals out of the mountains.
