Over in Angola, there is some exciting news about royal sable. Seems we received a digital image last month, which we think is an authentic photograph of a small herd of giant sable. We have been told the photo originated in the office of Pedro Vaz Pinto of the Angolan Government. We have an e-mail out to him now, asking for more information. In the meantime, all we have is the following short note, which Vaz Pinto sent recently to PH Adelino Pires in South Africa: "Dear friends, Total success! I finally got the sought-after pictures of giant sable! Several photos of a herd moving around a salt lick in daytime, and also at night. The pictures are of excellent quality and show everything but an old male...."
We're digging now for more information on this matter and hope to have more soon. In the meantime, you can take a look at this photograph by going to our web site, www.huntingreport.com. It's right on our home page. Enjoy!
