The booking agency Dakota has joint-ventured with is run by John Barth, whose name has appeared in these pages before. His partner is Jeff Sellers, who previously ran the hunting division of Dunn's Catalog, Dunn's Adventure Travel, in Grand Junction, Tennessee. Together, they offer hunts throughout the world, with a special emphasis on Africa. The joint venture with Dakota, Barth told The Hunting Report, is going to establish the agency as a one-stop, full-service safari outfitter offering help with everything from bullets to boarding passes.
"We don't book every outfitter who comes along, and we don't ever plan to do that," Barth said. "We like to find one or two outfitters in a country, or a region, and form a long-term relationship with them. It's important that they be the best of the best, and then stay that way."
