Next door in Zimbabwe, there is a bit of bad news to report. Seems an anthrax outbreak there in the Malilangwe and Save Valley con- servances has resulted in the destruction of some trophies. As this issue went to press, there were conflicting reports about which parts of these conservancies were affected. It was also not clear exactly when the quarantine began. It was clear that the quarantine was scheduled to continue until the onset of rains. If you hunted either of these conservancies this summer, check with your outfitter to see if your trophies were taken during the quarantine period. We have been assured that the Zimbabwe Government and/or the outfitters involved will make good any damages. If your trophies have been destroyed, please let us know here at The Hunting Report. We want to confirm that the assurances we have received are honored.
