Lastly, next door in Cameroon, subscriber Ken Wilson has very good things to say about a safari into the far northeastern corner of that country with a company called Djabo Safaris, booking agent Chris Weth in Germany. He gives the camp and general safari services high marks, and says he and two other American hunters took all the animals on license, including Lord Derby eland, western roan, West African savannah buffalo, harnessed bushbuck, Nigerian bohor reedbuck, Sing-Sing waterbuck, western hartebeest, western bush duiker, red flanked duiker and oribi. He says the new No. 2 harnessed bushbuck was in the skinning shed when he arrived, and he personally saw the probable new No. 1 reedbuck, plus a top 10 waterbuck.
One of the other hunters on this safari, Steven McManus, also filed a positive report on Djabo. He attached a photograph to his report of what he says is a top 10 western hartebeest. We have uploaded that photograph to our Trophy Gallery (www.huntingreport.com. Click on "Trophy Gallery.")
