The most important effort to prevent the uplisting is being mounted by Conservation Force's John J. Jackson, III, who described the threat to lion hunting as a "crisis we have to address or forever pay the consequences." As this issue went to press, Jackson was implementing what he called "multiple initiatives at every possible level" to deal with the problem.
"We foresaw this problem and were ready for it, but now we have to act on an international level immediately. And that means we need funding to meet this emergency. Please ask your subscribers to help."
Indeed, here at The Hunting Report, we recognize the importance of this crisis, and we urge all of you who value African hunting to contribute generously. Tax-deductible donations can be made directly to Conservation Force by mail at: One Lakeway Center, Suite 1045, Metairie, LA 70002. The telephone number is: 504-837-1233. You can also contribute with a credit card by going to our own web site, www.huntingreport.com. Look for "Contribute Here To Conservation Force's Lion Effort." We have a secure system for receiving your contributions, which will be passed entirely on to Conservation Force, who will later issue you a receipt, assuring you that your contribution is tax-deductible.
