Update On TanzaniaPublished: January - 2004 Over in Tanzania, subscriber Mike McDonald filed a report last month on a new area he hunted with Rungwa Game Safaris. The area is called Ruhudji, and Mc- Donald says it is "excellent." As proof he sent me a photograph of a lion he took there. He expects the skull of his lion to net out somewhere in the area of 27 inches, placing it very near the top of the SCI Record Book. The cat is not one of those pretty, behind-the-fence felines with a flowing mane. On the contrary, it is a powerful, battle-scarred cat with a modest mane and a demeanor that is chilling even in death. I'd love to have it in my trophy room! ........(continued) |
