As regards Zimbabwe and the continuing troubles there, we continue to support the hunting industry in that country, and recommend it to Old Africa Hands who know how to check out a safari outfitter. At this point, we have received a total of 47 subscriber reports on 2003 safaris to Zimbabwe, and most are very positive. Five new ones came in this past month, bringing the page-total for the year up to about 95. You can order all this vital trip-planning material by mail for $35 in the US; $38 in Canada/Mexico; and $39.50 overseas. If you want 2002 reports as well, the cost is $55 in the US; $58 in Canada/Mexico; $59.50 overseas. E-Mail Extra subscribers, of course, can view these reports free by going to the password-protected section of our web site, www.hunt ingreport.com.
The only new Zimbabwe wrinkle this month is an increased concern about malaria. Seems spraying programs have been slashed because of the continuing economic problems. Do plan on taking anti-malarials if you book a hunt here.
