"I have a friend who just returned from Africa. It was his first safari, and he did not know he had to have proof of ownership of his firearms upon his return. I explained to him how to fill out the US Customs Form 4457 in the future. Unfortunately, US Customs has already confiscated his guns. He said they told him they would forward the guns to Charleston, South Carolina, where he lives. At this writing, he has no idea when, or if, someone is going to contact him; or whether he is supposed to contact someone. I told him to call his Congressman or Senator right away, since every day the government has them might make it harder to get them back.
"I told him about The Hunting Report, and how you help keep us out of such messes (as you have done for me at least four or five times!). I hope he is smart enough to subscribe before his next trip."
