Hawaiin Mouflon Hunting Still PossiblePublished: September - 2003 Hawaii outfitter Eugene Yap has asked us to point out that the demise of the world's largest free-ranging, pure-bred mouflon sheep herd (see last month's issue, page 9) does not mean he is out of the business of mouflon hunting. He writes: "There is still some hunting to be had in this part of the world for those OVIS members who need a free-ranging, pure-bred mouflon ram for their collection. I am in negotiation right now with various landowners to obtain hunting rights on their properties. It remains to be seen whether I can take the number of rams that I used to be able to, but I feel certain I can take at least 20 during the prime hunting times of the fall and winter."
