"PH Nicky Blunt has now done a reconnaissance of the TWA area in Bandundu Province, and he will be sending me a written report. Verbally, he has already told me there are lots of forest dwarf buffalo, sitatunga, bushbuck, giant forest hog and bushpig, as well as various duikers, including yellowback and others that he could not identify from horns and tracks. He was told there are bongo and elephant north of where he could get to.
"Here is an update on the blocks that have been allocated to my company, Congo Safaris: 1.) Kundelungu (toward Lake Mweru in Shaba Province. Trophies as in Zambia, including lechwe and sitatunga. 2.) TWA area in Bandundu Province. 3.) EPI northwest of Isiro on the Uele River. 4.) AZANDE east of Garamba National Park, also on the Uele River. 5.) Mondo Missa, toward the border of Central African Republic. Eland, etc. Also on the Uele River.
"As you probably know, in years past, Uele River blocks were the best. The reports from there are particularly good as regards bongo and elephant. I shall be checking these areas later this year. I already have an office set up in Kinshasa. Vehicles, etc. for TWA are being shipped by the end of May."
