We're glad to hear that things are rolling in Zambia again, and we do not want to do or say anything to dampen enthusiasm for the country. However, we wouldn't be doing our job if we didn't remind you that six of the prime areas in this country (Mumbwa, Nyampala, Mwanya, Chifunda, Upper Lupande and Sichifulo) remain under a legal cloud at this writing. A final ruling may have been made on all of the areas except Sichifulo by the time you read this. If so, we will be sending out an e-mail bulletin to that effect. As for Sichifulo, insiders say that area may be tied up for the remainder of this year, possibly even next year. The holdup is a fight between ZAWA and the local community.
