A Warning To ReloadersPublished: February - 2003 A warning to reloaders. If you reload your own ammunition, be sure you keep airline baggage well away from your reloading site. That warning comes from subscriber Dick Vander Yacht who tells us he was yanked out of line by TSA screeners recently whose equipment picked up residues of powder on his briefcase.
"Apparently some powder residue stuck to the handle of my briefcase when I left it in my reloading room," Vander Yacht writes. "This trace showed up when they ran their swab test." Vander Yacht says the reaction of the TSA screeners was immediate and serious. "'Stay back - it's full of explosives', they told my wife when she went to pick it up," Vander Yacht writes. ........(continued) |
