Travel with firearms getting attention: There is some good news for US hunters worried about the new Transportation Security Administration (TSA) recommendation to leave your bags unlocked when checking into an airport. The first bit of good news is, that recommendation does not apply to gun cases. In fact, the latest TSA rules require that you lock your gun case. Moreover, that agency now has given the green light to putting your ammunition in your locked gun case.
The second bit of good news is, the National Rifle Association, at its latest board meeting, formally decided to look into the many problems hunters and shooters are having when they travel by air. They also vowed to look into the problems nonresident aliens are having temporarily importing firearms into the US, and transiting this country with guns.
