That's the word we have from outfitter Bob Penfold, who tells us a landmark lawsuit he just won makes it unambiguously legal for outfitters to sign agreements with aboriginal landowners who control access to millions of acres of hunting territory. Previously, all outfitters were pressured to work through a quasi-governmental organization that, Penfold says, obstructed and delayed the development of hunting programs. Now, it's all systems go for a rapid expansion of hunting programs on aboriginal lands, he said, not just for himself but for other operators as well.
