At this writing, a peacekeeping force is on the way to Central Africa. Reconciliation talks are underway. We anticipate a speedy resolution to the problems in CAR. In our view, the only clients who need to check back with their outfitters are those slated to go in early - in January.
What African hunters need right now are courageous outfitters willing to pry open new countries. Gabon comes to mind. Guinea perhaps. Even grand old Kenya, the country that started it all. The granddaddy of them all, of course, would be The Democratic Republic of Congo (the former Zaire). Maybe 2003 will be the year all of these open. So stay tuned. And book a good safari somewhere in Africa this year!
