Kyrgyzstan. In Report
8946 Jamie Browne recommends his October ibex hunt with Igor Akerberg of Red Ibex Adventures (igor_ackerberg@hotmail.com) in the Tien Shan Mountains of central Kyrgyzstan. This hunt was arranged by
AR Hunting Consultant in Anchorage, Alaska (907-338-3629;
abed@gci.net). Browne says he took a mature, 10-year-old ibex, and he commends the excellent accommodations, food and guiding. He recommends that hunters "prepare for a very physical hunt at high altitude."
"I saw great numbers of ibex." Browne writes. "My hunt was in October. Late season hunts in November are colder, but more animals are available because snow pushes them lower......
