We have two new reports this month from Tajikistan
. Both hunts took place from the Hot Springs Camp in the Pamir Mountains in October and were booked through Bob Kern of The Hunting Consortium
(540-955-0090). Both well-traveled and very experienced hunters give the camp and all services an across-the-board excellent rating.
The first report we received, Report 8918
in our online data base, is from subscriber Mark Wehinger who hunted for both Marco Polo sheep and mid-Asian ibex. "Game condition in this area was extremely good," Wehinger says. "The rams were good size, and there were vast quantities of sheep. The ibex were a little less plentiful, but the numbers were still good." On this hunt, Wehinger reports taking a Marco Polo ram with 54-inch horns and two ibex with horns measuring 105 and 108 cm (41.3 and 42.5 inches)......
