We have two new reports this month from
Tajikistan. Both hunts took place from the Hot Springs Camp in the Pamir Mountains in October and were booked through Bob Kern of
The Hunting Consortium (540-955-0090). Both well-traveled and very experienced hunters give the camp and all services an across-the-board excellent rating.
The first report we received, Report
8918 in our online data base, is from subscriber Mark Wehinger who hunted for both Marco Polo sheep and mid-Asian ibex. "Game condition in this area was extremely good," Wehinger says. "The rams were good size, and there were vast quantities of sheep. The ibex were a little less plentiful, but the numbers were still good." On this hunt, Wehinger reports taking a Marco Polo ram with 54-inch horns and two ibex with horns measuring 105 and 108 cm (41.3 and 42.5 inches)......
