Last month, we told you about two Boone & Crockett Stone sheep taken in the Yukon Territory with new operator Yukon Big Game Outfitters (YBGO). Our report was a bit sketchy on details because outfitter Shawn Raymond had not come out of the bush yet with information and photos. Now we have photos, measurements and details on the hunts and the potential of this untapped hunting area.
The first ram was taken by hunter
Ritchie LeSperance. It green-scores 170 5/8 B&C, and each horn measures 43 4/8. The second ram was killed by client
John Hoover and green-scores 171 3/8 B&C, with horns measuring 43 3/8 x 39. Raymond guided LeSperance, while one of his partners, Chad Lenz, guided Hoover.
Raymond's area is located in south-central Yukon, northeast of Whitehorse. It encompasses about 36,000 square kilometers, or 21,600 square miles, and spans more than 200 miles from the border of British Columbia to the border of the Northwest Territories.....
